KU boasts a history of offering high quality, robust professional learning and development. These events, courses and series draw on the latest practice and research from the Early Childhood Sector and beyond.
NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA, formerly known as BOSTES) endorsed courses
KU Children's Services is an approved provider of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA, formerly known as BOSTES) endorsed courses for teachers accredited at Proficient Teacher level. Across this booklet you will find endorsed courses identified by the BOSTES endorsement logo alongside a statement of the National Teaching Standard/s addressed during the course. Teachers attending NESA endorsed courses need to provide their teacher registration number upon registration.
Long Day Care Professional Development Funding (LDCPDP)
Courses provided by KU Professional Services and Learning are designed to meet the funding criteria for the Long Day Care Professional Development Funding (LDCPDP). You can find the National Quality Standard/s associated with each course as part of the description.
Tailored Professional Learning
KU offers a number of workshops and two part series that can be tailored to meet the professional learning needs of your service, and can be delivered onsite at a time convenient to teams. Tailored professional learning can also take place online and can be customised to suit your service through the delivery of a webinar.
The suite of KU resources are a reflection of the KU commitment to high quality practice. Developed through unique action research and professional learning community projects, a range of resources have been designed to support high quality practice and provide for individual and team based professional learning.
