At KU, children find their voice. From their very first visit, until they transition to school, KU children discover their sense of self and learn to respect others. Curious and social, they’re ready for the world. They’re happy with who they are, and interested in who you are. No matter how big the conversation, they have their say.
Throughout KU’s services, children experience high quality early education preschool, child care, early intervention and inclusion programs, and small acts of kindness happen every day. They learn it’s OK to be different, and we can all be different, together.
A safe calm community of children, parents and educators. All KU centres have been independently assessed against the National Quality Standard as amongst the highest quality in the country, and the results speak for themselves.
But perhaps what matters most is what our parents say about KU, and what we like to call the KU difference…
“The educators are second to none. They provide an incredible environment for our children to learn, grow and develop into who they will be. They take the time to know my child and understand his needs and loves. Thanks, KU, for such a great preschool.” - KU Killarney Heights parent
"KU Milperra Preschool has given my three children the best possible start to their early education, and we could not have asked for more dedicated and caring staff. As a parent I have always felt valued and well informed about my children’s experiences at pre-school. The team provide a caring and supportive environment that has supported and encouraged my children to explore and learn…engaging play-based programs that cater for their individual interests and helped them develop independence, confidence, social skills and most importantly a love of learning." - KU Milperra parent
“After attending two other child care services in the past and working in the sector myself, I am extremely happy with KU Village Green. In particular I am so happy with how my young baby has settled in due to the care and attention of the nursery educators. Everyone at Village Green does such a fantastic job and are an absolute asset to my children!" - KU Village Green parent
Even though KU centres are part of one of the largest and most trusted early education organisations, you will notice right away that no two centres are the same. Each centre is unique, and offers its own opportunities to explore and reflect the local community.
Some KU centres are located in historically listed converted old churches, some are new, shiny and purpose-built, some KU programs are even run in the bush or on the beach.. . and that’s just how we like it!
Since 1895, KU has been and proudly remains a not for profit organisation. Our fees are designed to cover the operational costs of delivering the unique KU learning experience, and to ensure KU can continue delivering those experiences for many years to come.
Any surplus we may make is reinvested into our local staff, our high quality services and ensuring our long term sustainability. KU does not distribute our profits to shareholders, or send them offshore.
