KU Alumni Connect Summer 2022 Edition
The team set themselves a challenge to walk 120km over six-days on the Larapinta Trail in the Western MacDonnell region of Central Australia in September 2022.
“Seeing the value of early childhood education first hand and the impact KU had on my children, made me want to join the KU Board in 2011 and I’m privileged to still be a Member today,” says Janet.
“During my time at KU, I became aware and saddened that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children are 2.5 times as likely as other children to be developmentally disadvantaged when they start school. By providing access to quality early childhood education, it is one important way to help address this issue,” she says.
“Chris and I were delighted to have the opportunity to support the important and wonderful work that the KU Marcia Burgess Foundation does in advancing social impact initiatives at KU,” says Jane.
“Working at KU is a very special opportunity, and the KU Marcia Burgess Foundation is one of the reasons why I love the work I do at KU,” she says.
