Early childhood intervention and allied health
KU acknowledges that every child develops differently and, most importantly, that families know their child best. KU offers a range of early childhood intervention and allied health services for children and families.
What is early childhood intervention?
Early childhood intervention is a term that is often used to refer to therapies and specialised support for children with developmental concerns, developmental delay or a disability.

Are you concerned about your child’s development?
KU acknowledges that every child develops differently and most importantly that you know your child better than anyone else.
If you have any concerns about your child’s development, seeking support early can make a big difference in helping them to reach their full potential. Our early childhood intervention team can support families to:
Understand their child’s individual developmental needs
Identify goals and priorities to support their child to reach their full potential
Increase their confidence and capacity to implement strategies into everyday routines and activities to support their child
Access early childhood intervention under the NDIS early childhood approach (as required)
Help make connections with other local support services
Create partnerships with early childhood professionals to form a team around their child

KU is a registered provider of the NDIS
As a registered provider of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), our early childhood intervention and allied health services can be accessed through various pathways, including a child’s NDIS Plan, a Medicare plan approved by a General Practitioner (GP) or via fee-for-service options.
