How can I find out more about a specific KU service?
Each KU service offers their own program, approach, and area of specialisation tailored to their community and families.
For detailed information, please visit the service’s page. You can also contact the service directly by phone or their dedicated enquiry form for further assistance.
How can I check the status of or make changes to my waitlist application?
If you submitted your waitlist application correctly, you should have received an email from KU’s childcare management program Xap confirming that we have received your application.
When a place becomes available for your child, we’ll reach out to you to secure your enrolment.
In the meantime, if you would like to make changes to your existing application, you can use your parent login to update your application on Xap, or reach out to the service directly via email or phone and a team member will be able to assist you.
What fee do I pay at a KU service? Can I get fee relief?
Each service has a different fee amount and different fee relief support, depending on its unique model and offering. To find out fee information for each KU service find a service near you, visit the service page and check out the ‘Fees’ section.
You’ll also be able to see the types of Government fee relief support that the service is approved for.

How do I join the waitlist?
Joining the waitlist is easy.
- Find your nearest KU service. If you have any questions, you may wish to call your service directly.
- Select the ‘Apply now’ button – this will take you to KU’s waitlist form.
- Fill out your details on the waitlist form. You will need to select your preferred KU service from the dropdown list.
- Once you are done, hit the submit button and we’ll be in touch.
KU does not charge a fee to apply to the waitlist.
What happens after I submit the waitlist application form?
Whether you are applying for next month or in a year’s time, after submitting, you will receive an email confirming your submission and another email inviting you to setup your KU account – this is important to do as you will receive your offer through your account.
When a place becomes available for your child, we’ll reach out to you to secure your enrolment.

How and when do I know if I will get a place?
If you are offered a place, you will be informed via the KU account you set up after submitting to the waitlist.
Usually, you will hear from the service a few months before you start. If you don’t receive a notification in your account two months out, contact the service to discuss your preferred start dates with them.
How much does it cost and when do I pay?
Each service’s fees are stated in the ‘Fees’ section on their dedicated service page on the KU website. You can also contact the service and ask them directly.
When you are offered a place, you will need to pay a deposit which goes towards your fees. If you would like guidance on estimating your Child Care Subsidy (CCS) go to our CCS Calculator page.

Where do I find my course link?
You will receive the course instructions and links at the email address you provided during registration.
I would like to join a workshop but there are no places available.
If the workshop you’re interested in is fully booked, we can add you to a waiting list. Simply make an enquiry to request this, and we will then contact you if a spot becomes available.
