About this service

Our program and approach

When children play and explore, their imagination and curiosity are sparked – they enjoy learning and are inspired to continue learning more.

Our play-based program intentionally provides a wide range of engaging opportunities and activities based on the Early Years Learning Framework.

We emphasise a culture of outdoor learning through our indoor/outdoor program which integrates natural elements both inside and out. Research indicates that natural outdoor play enhances children’s physical and emotional wellbeing, confidence and self-regulation.

Such a wonderful preschool! Caring, compassionate staff who really connect and engage with the children. And plenty of outdoor space and equipment for independent play. I also really value their awareness of and education around Indigenous Australia. We’re so grateful we were able to send our child here

I love KU Wickham! It has a beautiful sense of community, the educators are all fantastic and the facilities are great; mud kitchens, nature play, veggie gardens, chickens and lovely indoor resources too. You can tell the approach towards childcare is very nurturing and child centred.

We could not be happier, I wish we had started our four year old sooner. Fantastic outdoor area, compassionate staff fostering character development. A wonderful setting for kids to explore and be supported, building confidence to navigate the world independently. KU Wickham is a bit out of our way but we don’t mind the travel because of how happy our child is there.
