About this service

Our program and approach

When children play and explore, their imagination and curiosity are sparked – they enjoy learning, and are inspired to continue learning more.

Our play-based program intentionally provides a wide range of engaging opportunities and activities based on the Early Years Learning Framework.

We specialise in offering a play-based Early Childhood Literacy program and building meaningful partnerships with families and community.  There is a focus on supporting children’s pre literacy skills.

Our quality

KU Briar Cottage has been independently assessed by the NSW Department of Education, and are proud to be rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard.

We believe that the positive interactions children have with our staff are the most important component of our high quality program. Our team of teachers and educators are qualified, experienced, caring and motivated.  Aesthetically designed learning spaces are created by our team of educators, to create stimulating and sensory learning opportunities. These spaces encourage children to develop curiosity, take new challenges, consolidate emerging skills, persist and learn to engage and work with other children and adults.

Family testimonials

“

KU Briar Cottage parent
“KU Briar Cottage is an amazing preschool. As I have a child with additional needs, it’s hard to trust and feel comfortable leaving my child with anyone, let alone people I do not know. In a short time, KU has become a second home. They are amazing and I feel at ease that my child is understood and well looked after here.”

“

KU Briar Cottage parent
“It’s been a wonderful place to come to, knowing our children are safe in the care of experienced carers and educators. My child and my other children who attended in the past always loved KU Briar Cottage and still do. It’s not just the place but it’s the relationship they have with the children. They know the needs of every child and work to strengthen them.”
