Overview

Honey Bird goes beyond childcare. We create a safe and welcoming environment where childhood is celebrated.

We are proud of our strong reputation of providing rich education and care for children of Commonwealth Bank direct employees and the general community, in a family-focussed and supportive way.

Our highly experienced and dedicated teachers and educators build strong, trusting relationships with each child, fostering a sense of belonging and confidence.

Commonwealth Bank families in Redfern and Eveleigh love our handy location and the ability to work near their children and visit during the day, creating a wonderful community feel.

About this service

Our program and approach

When children play and explore, their imagination and curiosity are sparked – they enjoy learning, and are inspired to continue learning more.

Our play-based program intentionally provides a wide range of engaging opportunities and activities based on the Early Years Learning Framework.

[One of the key strengths of Honey Bird is our relationships and interactions with children. This strength led to the team deciding on Attachment Theory as our first body of research to delve into to support, influence and transform our practice. Over time the team may decide to research another area of interest such as Regio Emilia, current research on STEM, Ecological Systems Theory or brain research.

We were so pleased with this centre and cannot fault it. The continuity of staff, the outstanding care to each child, and a perfect balance between play based learning and structured learning. My son still has fond memories of his time there.
