KU Randwick Coogee goes beyond childcare. We create a safe and nurturing environment where childhood is celebrated.

We are proud of our longstanding reputation within the local community of providing rich education and care tailored to each child’s needs in a family-focussed and supportive way.

Our highly experienced and committed teachers and educators build strong, trusting relationships with each child, fostering a sense of belonging and confidence.

KU Randwick Coogee was originally started by a group of mothers who saw the need for a preschool in the Randwick area. We retain our unique charm and are known today for our genuine, welcoming atmosphere and wonderful outdoor area.

About this service

Our program and approach

When children play and explore, their imagination and curiosity are sparked – they enjoy learning and are inspired to continue learning more.

Our play-based program intentionally provides a wide range of engaging opportunities and activities based on the Early Years Learning Framework.

We pay particular attention to school readiness by developing each child’s independence so that they become confident and involved learners, develop effective communication skills, and build a strong sense of identity.

Family testimonials

“

KU Randwick Coogee parent
“The team at KU are nothing short or remarkable. They always direct their learnings to children’s interests and things that are around their experiences in and out of school. This is my second child at KU Randwick and I cannot recommend them highly enough.”

“

KU Randwick Coogee parent
“The staff are lovely and work collaboratively with our family. Attention is paid to the individual needs of children, as not all learn in the same way or at the same rate. The educators at KU respect the children’s needs, rather than imposing a standard formula for all. There is a genuine care for the child and their way of learning and interacting. Thank you for everything that you do for the children at KU.”

“

KU Randwick Coogee parent
“Warm welcome everyday by the staff and having longevity in the staffing is very comforting. My daughter went to KU previously and now my son is there. Having the same teachers and them knowing our family and understanding us is amazing.”

“

KU Randwick Coogee parent
“I love how the educators have a genuine interest in the children and adapt their learning to the children’s current interest. They are so caring and I can’t speak highly enough of the staff.”

“

KU Randwick Coogee parent
“The outdoor area is great and most of the educators have been there a long time. It’s nice to know they are happy there and it is a great environment for them, which means it would also be a great environment for the kids.”

The very best pre school, I remember when I got offered a spot I was soo happy as I heard soo many good things about KU and they have exceeded my expectations. My son is loving it here, they are the most caring friendly teachers. They take the time to understand your child’s needs and helping them in any way they can. I have noticed so many positive changes in my son in just a short time of 4 months. We get lots of updates and photos. They have made my son comfortable from day one. The place is beautiful and has such a friendly inviting fun atmosphere.Thank you KU for everything you are doing for my son :)
