KU Grevillea Preschool celebrated 40 years of service recently with a birthday party as part of their annual Family Fair Day.
The sun shone on the preschool playground and Hornsby Heights Community Centre, with a sea of happy faces enjoying all the birthday celebrations.
Many past and newly enrolled families attended the Family Fair Day to enjoy the atmosphere and free art and play based experiences. There was plenty of entertainment with musical performances from the local schools as well as a local Russian Dance Group and The Juliette's, who donated their time to perform for the large crowd in the cafe car park.
"It was a wonderful day at the KU Grevillea Fair! We had a great time, and it was so wonderful to see the community working together to make the day such a success," said local parent, Yuki Tagana.
"KU Grevillea is a great community of people, and I sincerely thank all the staff members and parents for all their hard work for the fair. I feel privileged to be a part of this community."
KU CEO, Christine Legg, Hornsby Shire Mayor, Nick Berman and preschool Director, Jane Moran acknowledged the community spirit at the centre, before cutting a special cake to celebrate the occasion.
"KU Grevillea Preschool would like to acknowledge all the local businesses in the Hornsby Community and beyond who supported our Raffle with special thanks to Coolibah Building who donated the first prize of a carpenter for the day, going to Duncan of Hornsby," said Director Jane Moran.
"The staff and families of KU Grevillea Preschool past, present and future, thank the members of the local community for their continued support. We look forward to the next 40 years!"
